Great news! Captain Ed reports that the First Mate's kidney transplant (and appendectomy, since they were already there) went splendidly. The new kidney is functioning already, and she's in recovery. Darn glad to hear it - everyone knows that the FM is the real power behind the Captain's chair! ;)
