MICHELLE MALKIN - It's pretty much a given that if you want to read the best about a given topic, you start with Michelle Malkin and go from there. A great writer herself (and cute!), she is also more than willing to link to others. Today she links to a great post by Dafydd at BigLizards. Check out her previous posts on Williams: Tookie Watch (November 30, 2005) and The Tookie Files (November 26, 2005). LASHAWN BARBER - I found this blog when I clicked on a link from Michelle Malkin. La Shawn is an independent black conservative Christian who has made several appearances on MSNBC as well as teaching at the recent GodBlogCon. She is an excellent writer with a wickedly sharp sense of humor. (Ok, she's cute, too.) Check out her take on Tookie: Tookie and the celebrity drag (December 2, 2005) and A "Tookie teach-in" (November 30, 2005). LOS ANGELES COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY - On November 16, 2005, the Los Angeles County District Attorney published a response to the request for clemency from Stanley Tookie Williams. The 57-page document brutally outlines Williams' criminal activities and, just as importantly, his post-conviction misconduct. The sections detailing the Owens / Yang / Lin murders are difficult reading, even with the crime photos redacted. You can get the PDF file of the District Attorney's response here. SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE - Notoriously anti-death penalty and pro-Tookie, today's Chronicle contains a couple of outstanding articles, both by Leslie Fulbright - one entitled As A Redeemer, the other entitled As A Criminal. Additionally, the Chronicle's front page has the only published photo I've seen of one of Williams' victims, Albert Owens (unfortunately it was below-the-fold, but at least it was there). Ms. Fulbright's stories are the best I've read about summarizing the Williams debate. Read both stories and then send a well-done e-mail to Ms. Fulbright here.
